For toddlers and younger children, this pool is great. It's not deep enough to pose any direct danger (of course, you can never children unattended in a pool), yet it's deep enough to feel more like a pool then a puddle. Adults can lounge in the attached inflatable seats while the kids go nuts in the rest of the pool. • Never leave children unattended in your pool. Not even for a short time.

This is perhaps the most basic of advice. Children should not be in the pool unattended. No matter how good swimmers they are, no matter if they're a group of several children. In the case of an accident, an adult should be present to ensure that the victim get adequate help ASAP. Also, try not to use the pool alone

• Never use the pool without adequate lighting.

Using the pool at night can be tempting, but it can also be a real risk. The danger of not detecting someone that is submerged fast enough is just too big. Refrain from using the pool at night if you are not able to light it properly.

• Keep your pool fenced in.

In some states it is even illegal to not have your pool fenced in. Make sure you know what the local laws say. Whether it's required by law or not, i highly recommend you put up a fence. Any layer of protection that keeps children (and possibly drunken adults) of falling/crawling into your inflatable pool will reduce the risk of accidents.

• Use a pool cover.

Aside from protecting your water from debris, this is the same as the above - another layer of protection from accidents in your inflatable pool. Some pool covers are even lockable, and these are of course preferred. Also, make sure to remove the ladder if you have one.

• Never use electricity in the vicinity of the pool.

This should be a given, but it's on here by a reason. Every year there are cases of electrocution in inflatable pools. Be smart, be safe!

• Don't allow dangerous play (jumping into the pool from heights, diving from outside obstacles etc).

While inflatable pools should be a place for fun and games, letting your kids play dangerously is not going to do them any good. Be firm, and let your kids know what the rules are.

• Drain your pool when you are not home for a longer period of time.

Besides the fact that your water will be useless after a couple of days without chemicals and filter pump anyway, you don't want to come home and realize someone has gotten into an accident in your pool while you were away.

• Learn CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

This is another lifesaver. In the case of an emergency, this could be the difference between life and death.

The Intex 15 foot by36 Inches Pool is a sturdy pool, built for kids and adults alike to enjoy. Make sure you spread the pool out on a even surface, as it will not fill properly if the ground is not level. Also, make sure you spread out the bottom cloth of the pool to the maximum. Filling up the pool will take a lot of time, so even if the setup itself is fast, it will not be ready to swim in until hours later. The pool also comes with a setup guide on DVD.

Pool Diving Toys

I bought a set of Wild Planet Dive Balls for my nephew and he has really been enjoying them and he asks me to bring them out every time he comes over to use the pool. He loves to see how many of the 3 he can fetch without coming up for a breathe of air. I paid under ten bucks, which i think is one of the best pool toy deals out there. The reviews for this item on Amazon is also amazing! Highly recommended.

We also bought a set of Diving Games Water Wigglers Dive Sticks, which was also below ten dollars. These wriggle through the water as they descend, and my niece is absolutely crazy for these. She sits in her mother arms and watch them "swim" to the depths of the pool while laughing at the top of her lungs. Her brother then collects them, and she throws them back in.  Note that the styles in the sets vary, and that you might not get all fish.

There are of course a lot of other diving toys out there on the market, but these are ones i have tried myself and been really satisfied with. Check out amazon for more diving toys.

Pool Basketball Toys

My friends son is a basketball lover, so they decided to buy a floating basketball pool set, and have not regretted it since. The kids are having so much fun with it, their parents are sometimes having a hard time getting them out of the pool. From what I've seen, it must be a pretty durable thing as well, because they play pretty hard at times. They bought the Swimways Spring Jam Basketball set, and it comes with a ball included. It costed them around 30 dollars and they are very satisfied with it.

Other Toys

There are so many toys out there on the market. I have not really bought a lot yet, but i did some research to try and find a few that looks like fun, for future purchases. The next one i will buy will be Swimways Gobble Gobble Guppies. This looks just so cute, and i know my niece will love this!

I'm also going to buy a couple Max Liquidator Eliminator, that I'm sure the kids will have a lot of fan squirting water on eachother (and very likely me as well) with. I like that these float in the pool and that you can easily get them out after the kids are done in there.

A repair patch is also included in the package. The setup is really easy, as you just unfold the pool, spread it and start inflating the walls, either by pump or by using your lungs. After that's done you need to inflate the slide and the additional features manually. Then just fill it with fresh water (fully inflated, the pool holds approx. 100 gallons), and you're set to go!

The Intex Rainbow Ring Pool Play Center is made out of durable PVC and should hold well for the wear and tear little children can put onto it. There's a drain valve at the bottom of each pool, which makes draining it a breeze.

Intex Pool Play Center Review

From what i have learned, this is the ultimate play center for preschool kids! The amount of fun to bed had in this kiddie pool is enormous. The water sprayer, that connects to your garden hose, sprays in and around the pool, and kids go crazy for it. Jumping between the pools and sliding down the little slide seem to be other favorite activities. Having reviewed a few Intex pools before i was sure about the quality aspect, but not about the playfulness. It seems like they have their childhood mindsets intact at Intex, because this Rainbow Ring Pool Play Center is the real deal!

I do however wish, that they would have included an additional filter and maybe a ground cloth as well. The 3 layer PVC makes this pool a very durable one, and it's very unlikely that you will have any need for the repair kit. To empty this Bestway 12 foot pool, you just connect your garden hose to the drain valve, and find a spot in your garden that needs watering.

Aunt Linda has a really small garden, yet she's so keen on getting herself and her two little girls a pool. This circular pool measures 10 foot by 30 inches, and is made out of 3 layers of durable PVC, and has an inner layer of polyester mesh for even greater durability. The water capacity is 1018 gallons when the pool is fully inflated. Inflate the top ring of this Easy Set pool and fill the pool with water, is all you need to do for setup. This Intex 10 foot pool does not come with a pump, and if you plan to use your pool continuously, i would suggest you get one.

Intex 10 Foot by 30 Inches review

The pool is big enough for 2 adults or 3-4 kids. It's a perfect pool for the smaller garden or if you just need a pool to enjoy with smaller kids during hot summer days. As all other Inflatable pools, this inflatable 10 foot pool needs to be on a level surface to not become lopsided or risk to break. It takes some time to fill the pool with water so don't expect it to be ready to jump in until a few hours after you set it up. It's a great pool for getting kids used to water, and for them to learn how to swim. The downside to this pool, is that it does not come with a filter pump. This means that there's no way to keep the water clean, and i would highly suggest you buy a pump to go with your pool.

Chlorine

If you've ever been to a pool before (and I suspect you have) you know about this chemical. It's the most common way of keeping your pool water clean and sanitized. The reasons for this, is that it's easy to handle, it's relatively cheap and it's a proven way of doing it for decades. For inflatable pools, there are generally three ways of adding chlorine to your pool. You have tablets, sticks or granular form to choose from. I would generally recommend either tablets or sticks for your pool. This is the easiest and most convenient way to add chlorine to your pool, and with a floating feeder you can set it up and leave it for a week without additional work. The granular chlorine has to be pre-dissolved in a bucket of water, and then added to the pool. This gives your more precise control over the chlorine level in your pool. However, you need to test your water and adjust the level of chlorine more frequently.

Bromine

Bromine is another chemical you can use to sanitize and keep your pool clean. It works the same way as chlorine does, but does not have the chemical odor that chlorine does. It also does better for people with sensitive skin, and does not sting your eyes. It's more effective than chlorine as it is more concentrated and you need to add less bromine than you would chlorine to a pool to keep it sanitized. However, the downside to bromine is the price. Lately there has been coming cheaper bromine into the market, and that's great, but the price is still higher than the one for chlorine.

Equipment

I would advice you to start out small. Buy a floating feeder and a small package of either bromine or chlorine. I use chlorine myself and I started out with a In The Swim 10 lbs bucket and a Kem-Tek 879 floating tablet dispenser. Both of which i have been very satisfied with. For bromine, any recommendation from me would be useless as I don't use it myself. I would suggest you check out amazon's assortment and read some reviews on their page. I also bought a Kem-Tek test kit that is really useful (works for both bromine and chlorine). It allows me to keep track of the water quality, and also makes me feel like I'm a laboratory technician.
